Following on from our smash hit, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, this Summer we are staging a production of Boogie Nights, at Theatre Royal Wakefield. The show will be performed in September to a potential audience of 5,500 people!

On Sunday 4 May, we shall be holding open auditions for the show. We are hoping to audition as many people as possible from across West Yorkshire. The only restriction that we make on applicants is that they must be between 12 – 19 years old.

What we are looking for:
Dedication, enthusiasm and commitment! You don’t need to have years of dance or experience under your belt, just a willingness to learn and work hard.

How YOU can get a part in the production:
On Sunday 4 May 2008, from 10am to 3pm, we will be holding open auditions at the Theatre Royal in Wakefield.

At the auditions, you will be taught a song and a dance from the show along with everyone else. This will form the basis of the audition. You will not be asked to prepare any other piece. You may want to bring a drink and/or a snack with you as some of the session may be quite physical. Please wear comfortable, suitable clothing and dance shoes if you have them and have a notebook and pen to hand.

If you are under 18 yrs then we will need a completed parental/guardian permission form (click here) for you to take part in the auditions. If you prefer, this can be filled in the day. Parents/guardians will be allowed to wait in the café of the theatre but not in the auditions themselves.

What we offer in return:
The opportunity to work with theatre professionals and be a part of a HUGE production performed in a theatre!!
